Lucknow Sueprgiant's vs Royal Challengers Bangalore
LSG is facing RCB in the second playoffs of Tata IPL 2022.
KL Rahul win the toss and elected to bowl first. Initially, this decision seems like a great decision as Mohsin took Faf's wicket in this first over but Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar built a strong partnership and scored 64 runs together. Danish Karthis did the remaining damage by scoring 37 runs on 23 balls but it is Rajat Patidar who actually hammered bowlers all around the Eden Garden. He scored 112 runs on just 54 balls.
KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda dropped two crucial catches that could have put barriers in front of RCB batsmen. They dropped around 4 to 5 in total which cost them cricket.
It was heartbreaking to see how Lucknow Supergiants lost the match. Quinton De Kock got out immediately after playing just five balls.
KL Rahul did his best and made 79 runs along with Hooda who seemed in great shape and hit 4 sixes and made 45 runs. None of the other batsmen made enough runs to help the chase. Krunal got out in first ball, Stoinis just made 9 runs, Lewis had the chance, he played 6 balls, he could have hit 2 sixed and LSG could have win but coulds and ifs cant change the reality of LSGs faith.
Their batsmen keep ditching them from time to time
Their fielding was not up to the mark, they dropped catches.
They had whole two months to work on it but their ability to work on their performances cost them with elimination. Krunal was out of form with bat, Badooni stopped performing after a few matches, Marcus Stoinis was not used properly.
WHY DID THEY ELEMINATE:
1. My favrioute KL Rahuls body lanuage was never confident. As a captain he made some great choices but he made some really poor onces too, like not using Marcus and Deepak Hooda's all rounding abilities properly. Deepak Hooda has taken around 70+ wickets in his domestic and ipl career.
2. Their fielding, especially catching was not up to the mark. They did catch some beautiful catches but they dropped some MOST important ones.
3. Their batting line up keep shuffling and they kept trying new things without a proper plan. Badooni lost his confidence in the middle of the tournament. He was doing good at the top positions and scoring runs by hitting great shots, but Team Lucknow chose to send him at the down order.
