His family lives on a quiet street opposite a local hospital in Sambhal, a small town in Uttar Pradesh. They have always been supportive of his cricketing career.
“We had to keep supporting him and give him solace that light comes after every period of darkness,” his father said.

Moradabad-based coach Badruddin Siddiqui helped him a lot in all those years of struggle where he was playing for MI and was not getting his name in the final playing 11.
In this interview after receiving the man of the match, he said he just wants to bowl fast and he is enjoying bowling. His coaching staff, his captain Kl Rahul and his teammate Krunal Pandya is only asking him to bowl his natural line and length. There is no pressure on him from the team side.
He was with Mumbai Indians for almost two years but He never really get a chance to prove himself as MI was a big team with big names and big players and was consistently performing well.
Here in Lucknow Supergiants, he gets his first chance of IPL match and becomes the permanent member of the playing eleven since then.
Hopefully, we will see him bowling soon for Indian Cricket Team as predicted by his captain, KL Rahul.
